Jackson (Eastwood) and his wife, Alexsandra (Belle), live a pretty normal life in the aftermath of the Civil War. When a group of ruthless bandits kidnap Alexsandra and torch the couple's home, Jackson embarks on a perillous journey of retribution. Driven almost to the point of madness by the desire to get his wife back, Jackson’s moral compas begins to spin, and the lines between good and evil slowly start to blur. Danny Glover, Walton Goggins and Adam Beach also star.
