Ben Barber (Hart) and James Payton (Ice Cube) are at it again in this sequel to the 2014 action comedy. After graduating from the police academy, Ben is anxious to become a detective with the Atlanta P.D., but James is still quite annoyed with his partner -- especially since Ben is soon going to be marrying his sister (Sumpter). The pair is assigned a case in Miami, and they jet off to the vibrant city where they must work with the Miami P.D. to take down a notorious, powerful drug lord (Bratt).
