A young food enthusiast by the name of Chowder can't believe his luck when he becomes an assistant to Mung Daal, a veteran chef and owner of a catering company in Marzipan City. Chowder is seldom allowed to cook as he ends up doing more harm than good but does prove useful as a storage container due to his ability to regurgitate large objects. He must assist Mung Daal in his efforts against his arch-rival Endive, whose own assistant Panini would want nothing more than for Chowder to be her boyfriend, a prospect that he is reluctant to accept.
