Based on the novels written by Joe R. Lansdale, ‘Hap and Leanord’ tell the story of Hap Collins, a former convict and civil rights activist who is convinced by his ex-wife that he can get out of his money troubles if he just helps her recover sunken treasure that she knows about in the Deep South. Hap, still attracted to his ex-wife decides to follow her and convinces his buddy, openly gay, black Vietnam vet Leonard Pine to join in as well. However, things start to go awry as this get-rich-quick scheme quickly turns into an ‘everyone for themselves’ bloody brawl.
