As she adapts to life in the big city, she is trying to create her own traditions while entertaining for her friends and family. Nixon takes viewers through the process of making her dishes, beginning when she heads to the market to shop for the needed ingredients. Among the tasks Nixon tackles are preparing a last-minute brunch and an Italian-themed date night with her husband.
