Captain William Stanaforth (Strong) is on a mission to Mars, where he will live for the rest of his life. Although he has the support of Louis Skinner (Wilson) from mission control, he is making the journey alone. As the days go by, he begins to lose himself to the repetitive solitude of life in space. When the ship’s navigation system malfunctions, William is ordered to return to Earth, but decides instead to pilot it himself, willing to sacrifice everything for the thrilling experience.
