Years after surviving the horrific car accident that killed his parents, Baby (Elgort) has a constant ringing in his ears that he drowns out by playing his favorite music during every waking minute of his life. To pay off his debt to brutal crime boss Doc (Spacey), he works as a getaway driver for a gang of thugs, and earns a reputation as the best in the business. It’s a life he wants out of, though, and when he finally meets a girl who seems to understand him (James), he decides that, after he finishes his next job, he’s leaving his life as a getaway driver for good.
