Single mom Laura (Farmiga) has always had trouble with setting boundaries in her life, and when her estranged father (Plummer) gets kicked out of his retirement home for dealing drugs to the other residents, she’s roped into driving him across the country so that he can stay with her sister (Schaal). Despite believing that her dad is a bad role model and influence for her son (MacDougall), the three of them set out for an adventure that smashes the only boundaries that Laura’s managed to keep up in her life: those that she’s built between her and her father.
