Based on Thomas Hardy’s classic novel, this Victorian love story follows the beautiful and self-reliant Bathsheba Everdene (Mulligan) and the three very different men who fall in love with her. Sheep farmer Gabriel Oak (Schoenaerts) is attracted not only by her beauty but her headstrong personality, but he must compete with two other suitors for her affections: Frank Troy (Sturridge), a handsome soldier, and William Boldwood (Sheen), a wealthy bachelor.
