In the not-so-distant future, humanity has built a system of satellites that are capable of controlling the weather, and that have brought an end to climate-based natural disasters. When one of the satellites malfunctions and sets off a localised weather event, Jake (Butler) heads to space to find the source of the problem and make sure that it doesn’t happen again. Instead, he discovers that it wasn’t a malfunction at all -- the disaster was deliberate, and now he must race against time to disable the system and save humanity as the rest of the weather satellites begin setting off disasters worldwide.
