When millionaire hedge fund manager James King (Ferrell) is convicted of fraud, he’s given 30 days to get his affairs in order before doing time in San Quentin. Terrified of what prison life has in store for him, he hires his black friend Darnell (Hart) to prep him for the experience, assuming he’s been behind bars before. On the contrary, however, Darnell is a hard-working small business owner who’s never been arrested for anything, and certainly hasn’t seen the inside of a prison cell. Nevertheless, he takes on the task of setting James up to make it out of San Quentin in one piece.
