When Merrin Williams (Temple) is brutally raped and murdered, the blame falls on her boyfriend Ignatius Perrish (Radcliffe), who fervently denies it. The morning after a hard night of drinking, Ig wakes up hung over and is horrified to find a pair of horns growing out of his head. As it turns out, his new features have the ability to cause people to confess their sins and submit to base and selfish impulses. Ig puts this power to use in his investigation into what really happened to Merrin and finding her true killer.
