Ivan Locke (Hardy) has worked hard to build a good life for himself, with a gratifying job as a successful construction manager and a family that he loves. He leaves an important job one day in Birmingham and sets out for London, but during the drive he receives a phone call that sets off a series of events that threatens to undo everything he’s worked for.
