When all of the leaders of the Western world flock to London following the mysterious death of the British prime minister, U.S. Secret Service lead agent Mike Banning (Butler) goes along with President Asher (Eckhart). Upon their arrival at the most tightly guarded event ever, Banning feels that something is amiss, and soon catastrophe strikes. Terrorists rain down upon the event, and the sinister leader, Barkawi (Aboutboul), initiates a hunt for Asher in order to torture and kill the American president and broadcast it live. With London devastated, it's up to Banning and Asher to put a stop to the madness.
