Louisa Clark (Clarke) is directionless, bouncing from job to job in an effort to help her family make ends meet. When she’s hired as caretaker to Will Traynor (Claflin), a young banker confined to a wheelchair after an accident, she finds herself in her most difficult job yet. Will used to be an adventurous soul, but has lost any hope he once had of living a fulfilling life. Determined to show him that life is worth living, Louisa pushes Will, and herself, to see the world differently, and as they adventure together, they find their lives and hearts changing in extraordinary ways.
