Teenage sisters Sandra (Breslin) and Beth (Henley) have always clung to one another. Often neglected by their alcoholic mother (Sorvino), the girls learned as children that they had only each other to depend upon. When their mother plans to move herself and her daughters in with the latest in a string of abusive boyfriends, Sandra and Beth decide they’ve had enough. With the help of classmates, the girls plan to do away with their mother, making it look like an accident.
