Bob Horton is in love Helen Riddle, but ranch owner Jim Riddle won't allow his niece to marry a lowly cowboy. Jim does let Bob ride Black King, one of his toughest horses, in a race with bandit Don Carlos, but is disappointed when Black King loses.
