Deputy Marshal Rocky Lane (Allan "Rocky" Lane) pursues and captures an outlaw, only to learn that the criminal was part of a scheme involving the nearby Reynolds ranch; when the criminal is killed, Rocky assumes his identity to infiltrate the gang.
