Kat (Shipka) and Rose (Boynton) are high school students at a boarding school. When their parents mysteriously fail to pick them up, they are left alone at their school, Bramford, over winter break. Meanwhile, a troubled young girl named Joan (Roberts) is determined to get to Bramford as fast as she can. As Joan gets closer, Kat is plagued by intense and horrifying visions. Kat and Rose soon realize they are being stalked by an unseen evil force that won’t stop until it has Kat in its grasp.
