A trio of nuns, Fernanda (Plaza), Ginevra (Micucci) and Alessandra (Brie), chafes at their dull monastic lives, and the rebellious nature of the women is enough to drive away the local peasant who performs manual labour around the convent. His replacement turns out to be the incredibly handsome young Massetto (Franco), a deaf and mute man with a strong work ethic. Unbeknownst to the sisters, though, the new face at the convent is actually a disgraced servant from a nearby castle who has been forced into hiding by his lord following an ill-timed romantic tryst.
