Writer Tsutomu lives alone at a mountain cabin in Nagano. Sometimes his editor/girlfriend Machiko visits, and they cook with seasonal ingredients. Tsutomu seems to be enjoying an easygoing life, but he's still unable to bury his dead wife's ashes.
