Carla (Holmes) and Marco (Kirby) are two poets who struggle to deal with their bipolar disorders, using the extreme highs and lows of their mental illnesses to fuel their art. The pair meets following their admission to a treatment facility -- Carla, willingly, and Marco, quite unwillingly. There, they develop instant chemistry, feeding off of each other and pushing their manias to new heights. As they fall deeper and deeper in love, however, they push the boundaries of sanity, and must decide between living sane lives, or lives of love.
