Academy Award winner Angelina Jolie directs and produces this moving drama, which tells the incredible true story of Olympic runner Louis Zamperini (O’Connell). When his plane crashes into the Pacific Ocean in WWII, Louie and two other crewmen manage to survive in a life raft for 47 days before being found by the Japanese navy and sent to a brutal prisoner-of-war camp. He forms an unexpected friendship with fellow POWs during their internment, as they fight for survival under horrendous treatment. Based on Laura Hillenbrand’s enormously popular book.
