When impetuous American pilot Peter Quill (Pratt) steals a mysterious orb from the far reaches of space, he finds himself the target of a relentless bounty hunt led by the villainous Ronan the Accuser (Pace). To keep himself out of Ronan’s clutches, Quill is forced into a delicate alliance with a band of misfits that includes the deadly assassin Gamora (Saldana), the huge and vengeful Dax the Destroyer (Bautista), the tree-like Groot (Diesel) and the mercenary raccoon, Rocket (Cooper). With the knowledge of the danger the orb poses to the universe, Quill and his motley crew must stand together for their most important battle yet, or face certain doom.
