Ten years after she met her three fathers, Sophie (Seyfried) is still living on a quiet Greek island and is pregnant with Sky’s (Cooper) child. She and her mother Donna (Streep) bond over the pregnancy, and her mom opens up about how she first came to the island, how she came to meet and romance Sophie's fathers for the first time and how she raised her daughter on her own. When Sophie’s eccentric grandmother (Cher) shows up uninvited, though, her entire comfortable living situation with her family gets turned on its head.
