Journalist Kim Barker (Fey) is tired of her mundane, stateside life. When an opportunity arises at work that could mean an oversees assignment, she grabs it without hesitation and is rewarded with a new life as a wartime correspondent in Pakistan and Afghanistan. The new circumstances prove to be a big adjustment for Kim, but when she meets fellow female journalist Tanya (Robbie), and attractive Scottish journalist Ian MacKelpie (Freeman), things start to fall into place. Billy Bob Thornton also stars.
