Judith Chalmers, Johnny Ball, Rula Lenska, Ian Lavender and Diana Moran embark on a journey to Italy in search of La Dolce Vita. They make their homes in beautiful villas, from which they explore the wonders of Italian life, attempt to learn a bit of the language, understand the differences in culture between regions, and most importantly, learn to cook some of the classic dishes of the country just as an Italian would. Also, as well as preparing dishes such as gnocchi and antipasti, there are opportunities for exercise with Green Goddess Diana, and perhaps some romance for Rula and a much younger fisherman.
