In this three-part documentary, Alexander Armstrong explores remote lands in freezing temperatures as he travels 8000 miles around half of the Arctic Circle. The presenter begins his journey in mid-winter, a treacherous time to travel in these regions because of the extreme weather conditions. However, on a mission to find breathtaking landscapes and natural wonders, Armstrong presses on, travelling from Scandinavia westwards towards Iceland and Greenland, and then through to Canada and Alaska.
