American Experience
1988-Present Docu-Series
PBS puts together the stories and tales of American history that made the country what it is today. Examining the people, events, technology and natural resources that shaped the nation, PBS makes hour-long documentaries with the help of authors, historians, period images and film, music and dramatic re-enactments for a number of topics from President Nixon to Tupperware. American Experience was previously hosted by David McCullough, but the show is now narrated by a number of historical and cultural personalities. With the title of the most-watched history series, the show has won almost every major broadcast award, including 30 Emmys.
