A look at Dr Finlay MacLeod, who introduced some radical teaching ideas to a Scottish school in the 1970s. Now a writer and broadcaster, as well a historian and naturalist, in the early 1970s, Dr MacLeod started teaching at Shawbost primary school on the Isle of Lewis. His approach to teaching was revolutionary in that school at the time, and led to the creation of a bond between teacher and pupil that exists to this day.
