This series documents motherhood in the animal kingdom, exploring the mum and baby relationship from birth. From the moment animal offspring are brought into the world, the mothers are seen nurturing, feeding, protecting, teaching and sometimes even disciplining their young ones to ensure their survival. Episodes capture the unbreakable and intimate bonds seen in aardvarks, otters and sheep as well as revealing incredible footage of gorilla mums teaching their children good manners and elephant herds rushing to protect a calf in distress.
