Antiques Roadshow

1997-Present Hobbies & Crafts

A group of expert appraisers from auction houses travel with the show across America meeting people who are looking to have their antiques appraised. There are regularly items with fantastic and long histories that can be told. Some passed on in families from generation to generation, and others a simple story of an inexpensive item being purchased at a lawn sale. Each appraisal offers us new exhilarations and interest as we watch seemingly junk items turn into fortunes. The UK version of Antiques Roadshow has been airing since 1979, and the US version since 1997. From Baltimore to Arlington, it’s clear that one person’s trash may be another man’s treasure.
