In 1989, Michael Palin went on a journey, inspired by the Jules Verne title of the same name, that saw him trying to travel around the world in a span of 80 days. Twenty years later, the former `Monty Python' star tries to find the participants from one of the most memorable events during the original voyage. Capt Hassan Suleyman and his crew steered the sailing vessel that transported Palin on a treacherous journey from Dubai to Bombay (which has since been renamed Mumbai). Palin also travels north, to close to the Pakistani border, hoping to reunite with men with whom he bonded and on whom his life depended during his journey 20 years prior.
