Second Lieutenant Lionel Hardcastle and Nurse Jean Pargetter were young lovers in 1953, who became separated when Lionel was posted to Korea during the Korean War. Some misunderstanding and a lapse of communication results in both of them assuming the other had lost interest and they gradually drift apart. After 38 years of not hearing from each other, the two former lovers are brought into contact with each other by fate but whether time can heal wounds born out of thirty eight years of separation and mutual misunderstanding remains to be seen.
