The scariest thing about horror movies may not be the frightening scenes seen in them, but that some of the flicks are inspired by actual events. "Behind the Screams" tells the stories behind some of the true-life incidents and people that inspired horror favorites like "Psycho," "The Exorcist" and "Silence of the Lambs." Serial killers and documented paranormal encounters are among the items discussed in the hourlong episodes, including serial killer Ed Gein, who served as the model on which fictional killers -- "Psycho" villain Norman Bates and "Silence of the Lambs" bad guy Buffalo Bill, among others -- were based.
