She recalls her career as a star, her resistance to the studio's attempts to change her name, the problems she has had to face and the Hollywood image. Featuring extracts from some of Davis's most famous films, including Jezebel (1938), Elizabeth and Essex (1939), Thank Your Lucky Stars (1943), All About Eve (1950) and Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? (1962).
