This live series explores the extraordinary wildlife at Monterey Bay, California. The region is home to a great variety of marine animals and more are making their way to the area. The episodes capture this natural event as it happens, discovering what is above and beneath the surface. Presenters Matt Baker, Liz Bonnin, Steve Backshall and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall travel to the California coast to witness the spectacle in person. Footage of blue whales, humpback whales, elephant seals, dolphins, sea otters and great white sharks is coupled with scientific facts that explain why this extraordinary cornucopia of sea life gathers to this location.
