After navigating school and their residencies together, three young medical professionals are reunited at Toronto Mercy Hospital, where they tend to emergencies and perform surgeries better than they put to rest their unresolved feelings for one another. Fitz is a free-spirited air ambulance doctor whose problems include drinking too much and loving a married woman, Ming, a reserved OB-GYN who can't decide whether she should be with Fitz or stay with her husband, Chen, a doctor at the hospital.
