Paul Heiney introduces viewers to life outside of Britain's cities, to the riches of the country's rural and coastal landscape. From a visit to the only place in the UK to grow tea, to learning the inside story of Dover's white cliffs, and discovering the country's most bizarre beach huts, Heiney explores the countryside and the people and things that make it tick. The programme also features historian Bettany Hughes, horticulturalist Rachel de Thame and wild food expert Mike Robinson, who provide information relating to their area of expertise at each stop.
