`Critical' is a drama series in which each episode focuses on a different patient whilst they undergo an hourlong treatment. The stories are set in a state-of-the-art major trauma centre, where a team of medical professionals work together to save the lives of the critically injured and seriously ill. Proving that every second counts, each case is shot in real-time as the trauma consultants operate and make crucial decisions during the procedure. With life and death at a knife's edge, will the team make the right choices when challenges arise?
