For the 40th consecutive year, Dick Clark spends New Year's Eve in Times Square as he counts down to midnight and the dropping of the famous ball in the Big Apple, marking the start of another year. As usual, musical performances from Times Square and Los Angeles help ring in the new year.This year's scheduled performers include Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga, two of the year's hottest artists. Clark and Ryan Seacrest once again host the festivities, with Jenny McCarthy reporting from Times Square and Fergie hosting the Los Angeles-based segments.
