Actress Angela Griffin turns the cameras around and shines a spotlight on the heroes of Britain's emergency services. The 'Coronation Street' and 'Waterloo Road' star joins paramedics from ambulance services across the country as their staff make the rounds in such cities as Coventry, Stoke, and Birmingham, as well as the countryside out to the Welsh borders. Not only does Griffin provide viewers with a full overview of a paramedic's challenging job, but she also gets the opportunity to work real shifts with the service.
