Better known for his roles as an actor (1996's `Trainspotting' and 2009's `Angels & Demons'), Ewan McGregor is heading off the beaten path in his lesser-known role as a UNICEF ambassador. In a two-part documentary, `Ewan McGregor: Cold Chain Mission,' he takes two long, circuitous and arduous journeys - one to India and Nepal, the other to the Republic of Congo - in an effort to provide children with life-saving vaccines. The term cold chain refers to the route refrigerated vaccines must take, frequently across challenging and remote terrain, to reach those in need.
