A major home renovation takes a toll not only on the structure itself but also on the family living there. Each season of this series chronicles the experiences of the members of one family while their residence is being torn apart and rebuilt into their dream home. The process includes plenty of nightmares, as problems like long delays, busted budgets and major disagreements hinder the plan. There are also the tasks of juggling kids, coping with family and friends, maintaining jobs, and supervising a massive renovation, but being a family under construction could make them the toughest clan on the block -- if it doesn't do them in first.
