`Going Forward' is a dark comedy written by and starring Jo Brand as Kim Wilde, a mother and care assistant who deals with life's everyday struggles. The Wilde household includes husband Dave, a self-employed driver; three children; an ailing mum; and a dog named Carpet. Long hours and low wages has left their house with an unfinished extension, and things go from bad to worse when Kim accidentally burns her nurse uniform and son Max plays truant to look after his baby daughter Poppy. On hand with a plan to help is Kim's sister Jackie, and fellow driver Terry dishes out his usual less-than-helpful advice.
