`Grand Designs' presenter Kevin McCloud follows an ambitious project taken on by a community of ten self-builders. In Bicester, Oxfordshire, Kevin follows the high and lows of the participants as they build their own houses and form a street in Britain's biggest self-build project. The self-builders have the flexibility to create bespoke homes that cater exactly to their needs, in plots surrounded by woodland, and connected to good transport links. However, the participants must navigate plenty of challenges, from budget constraints to differences in taste.
