This wartime drama tells the stories of the wives, girlfriends and mothers of soldiers serving in Afghanistan and how the women cope with the circumstances of having their significant others being at war. Paula Raveley is a veteran Army wife who is enjoying civilian life with husband Howard, but their two sons are currently serving together. Former Army nurse Louise Mancetta, who never returned to active duty following her maternity leave, knows what it's like for her husband, Joe, in Afghanistan. Claire Marshbrook, who met a widowed major on a dating website, must adjust to giving up her career while facing the challenges of being a major's wife and a stepmother to a wayward teenaged daughter who resents her and her teenaged son.
