In the Know
Animated
Lauren Caspian, NPR's third-most popular host, is a well-meaning, hypocritical nimrod puppet. He relies on a diverse crew of puppet staffers -- co-executive producer Barb, sound engineer Carl, fact checker and researcher Fabian, cultural critic Sandy and college intern Chase. Each episode follows the making of "In The Know" in which Lauren conducts in-depth interviews with real world human guests -- Jonathan Van Ness, Kaia Gerber, Tegan And Sara, Nicole Byer, Ken Burns, Finn Wolfhard, Norah Jones, Roxane Gay, Mike Tyson and Hugh Laurie. For Lauren, interviews are a scrumptious banquet, a tantric love session and a sacred rite rolled into one. Despite how gross that sounds, he somehow still manages to get insightful and surprising answers from his guests.
