Italia '90 was one of the most popular events in television history, watched by an estimated 27 million viewers. Thanks to Luciano Pavarotti's rendition of `Nessun Dorma' and the superb footballing stages of Rome, Milan, Naples and Turin, it became known as The Beautiful Tournament. It was also the closest England have come to the World Cup final since 1966. In this programme, Gary Lineker, Terry Butcher and Paul Parker revisit the scene of the semi-final between England and West Germany.
