`The Repair Shop' presenter and furniture restorer Jay Blades is in a brand-new workshop in Bradford, following three of the country's best fine furniture makers and six passionate woodworkers from the area as they combine their skills to create bespoke pieces of furniture. People from across Yorkshire who have been nominated by members of the public for the work they do in their communities each receive their unique furniture as Jay learns about what makes each local-hero special. As the show continues, the trainees' describe their experiences learning on the job and their own personal reasons for taking part in the project, as well as hearing about the touching stories of selflessness and charity by the nominees.
